Hi, I am Racha.
Born and raised in Morocco, lost and found in Canada, I am passionate about technology, user-centered design and social justice. I am in search for balance and empathy through creativity, and this website is one of the projects on my journey.
In my free time, I contemporary dance, draw, write and take pictures. I love to ask smart people dumb questions and I am the happiest when I learn something new. I am not afraid to dream, I live to solve and do what it takes to build.
Based in San Francisco, I am currently a Product Manager at Google.
. . . Experience . . .
Mnubo
Product Manager | 2018 - 2021
Determined to learn more about AI and data analytics and driven by the desire to have more direct impact, I joined Mnubo, a growing Montreal based startup who had just secured a 2nd round of financing. From pre-sales to data analysis, support and design, I wore many hats and developed an affinity for problem-solving and translating customer pain points into solutions. In 2019, Mnubo was acquired by AspenTech, highlighting the team’s technological leadership and unshakable grit.
Ericsson
System Integrator | 2015 - 2018
I joined Ericsson as a New Grad in a brand new Montreal Team focusing on Internet of Things Solutions. I had the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects ranging from smart city and environmental monitoring to smart agriculture and smart buildings. With a team of 10 innovation coaches, I led the opening of Ericsson Garage Montreal, a Lean-startup based incubator to support employees in exploring and developing ideas in emerging business areas. By the time I left, we had successfully incubated 4 ideas.
MGill University
Undergrad | 2011 - 2015
I pursued a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering while being heavily involved in student life. In 2013, I joined the first McGill Robotics team, building an autonomous underwater vehicle. By 2015, the team had grown to reach 200 students with a strong sense of community. We coined the motto “Team Before Machine“, added a Mars Rover and a Drone to our fleet and went on to win the 2015 Design Team of the Year Award.
